KAY FRANCES HUBBARD is a versatile full-time professional artist who
chose to focus her attention on the elusive and difficult watercolor medium more than 25
years ago. She is a native Californian and finds much of her inspiration in the colorful
scenery and flowers of her native State and nearby Mexico. Her paintings now hang in
private and corporate collections throughout the United States and Canada, and many have
found their way to locations as far afield as Australia, New Zealand, Japan, England and
the Continent.
Her works have been juried into numerous exhibitions over the
years, and she has been represented in many private shows in galleries throughout the San
Diego area. Because of their abstract beauty, six of her paintings were selected to be
made into jigsaw puzzles by a Southern California manufacturer. Kay has her own gallery
and studio in the Spanish Village Art Center in San Diego's Balboa Park.
